Gum Disease

At EC Periodontics, we treat all levels of gum disease. If you notice that your gums bleed or appear red and swollen, you may have early stages of gum disease requiring treatment. Neglecting treatment can lead to progressive tooth loosening, and ultimately, result in tooth loss.

• Adult prophylaxis: also known as a routine dental cleaning. 

• Scaling and Root Planing: also known as a deep cleaning. 

• Periodontal Maintenance: Just like body weight and exercising, oral hygiene maintenance is a life long journey after patients have been treated with gum or periodontal disease. Patients who have undergone periodontal treatment  will receive specialized dental cleanings that monitor gum health, and are specifically catered to maintaining gingival health.
